ICEO Cocoon: compact Finnish outdoor sauna for 1 to 2 people
The ICEO Cocoon is a compact barrel sauna of 130 by 150 by 200 centimetres, suitable for one to two people. The round construction improves the circulation of warm air, so the cabin reaches temperature faster and the heat stays evenly distributed. The sauna heater is included in the price.
Weighing 375 kg, the Cocoon can be placed in almost any garden, as long as the surface is flat and stable.

What do you need for placement?
A flat, stable and level surface that can carry 375 kg. Tiles on a stabilised sand bed or concrete slabs are usually enough. Keep at least 50 cm from the property boundary and make sure rainwater can drain away under the cabin. An electric sauna heater often needs its own circuit; have an installer assess this.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the Cocoon take to heat up?
Count on 30 to 45 minutes to bring the cabin to 70 to 90 degrees. Thanks to the round shape this goes faster than in a rectangular sauna of the same size.
Do I need a permit?
Often not. An outbuilding in the back garden is usually permit-free if it is no taller than 3 metres and stays within the permitted built-up area. Rules differ per municipality, so check with your local authority.
Can the Cocoon stay outside all year round?
Yes. Thermally treated wood is stable and weatherproof, even in frost. Leave the door open for a while after use so the cabin can dry.
How much maintenance does it need?
Little. Wipe the benches after use, let the cabin dry and check the door seal and heater stones once a year. The wood does not need oiling or painting.
Can I place an ice bath next to it?

Do I have to assemble the sauna myself?
The cabin is delivered in large sections. With two people, assembly in one day is realistic. ICEO also offers an installation service.
